On August 18, 2012, DDT's first foray into the Nippon Budokan, "Budokan PETER PAN," featured a special singles match between Sanshiro Takagi and Minoru Suzuki. After losing the match, Takagi decided to retire, but retracted the decision at the count of six. He proposed a rematch at the Tokyo Dome in five years' time.
