He joined All Japan Pro Wrestling in 1992. After transferring to Pro Wrestling Noah, he won many titles, including the Triple Crown Heavyweight, World Tag, GHC Heavyweight, GHC Tag, and others. He rejoined All Japan Pro Wrestling in 2013. At the request of President Sanshiro Takagi, he became a guest coach for DDT Pro Wrestling from May 2020. On February 15, 2021, he announced his appointment as head coach while becoming a DDT player.
